“Nine schools in Florida, Georgia, and Colorado are installing attack drones designed to confront active shooters. Teachers can summon the drones—which are remotely piloted from a central command center—with an app or panic button. The Washington Post adds:Schools in at least three states will be equipped with drones this year that can zoom through halls, smash windows and pepper-spray active shooters if teachers report a threat. The drones, which can be activated by teachers, are capable of reaching a shooter within 15 seconds. Drones have killed several thousand people in Sudan and over a thousand people in Haiti.
