Turkey says latest Israeli strikes show Netanyahu has no intention of peace
['Turkish Minute']
Turkish Minute
Turkey on Sunday accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of undermining peace efforts after the latest Israeli strikes in Gaza, saying they demonstrated his government had no intention of reaching a peaceful resolution with the Palestinians.
The statement came after Israeli strikes across Gaza killed at least 18 Palestinians, according to Reuters, while Israel said it would continue military operations until Hamas disarms and dismantles its tunnel network.
The ministry also accused Israel of undermining the region’s fragile balance and sabotaging mediation efforts led by several countries, particularly the United States.
The ministry also urged countries seeking peace and stability in Palestine and the wider region to uphold international law and humanitarian values.
The statement came as efforts to implement the next phase of a US-backed Gaza peace plan remained deadlocked.
