The overtime budget reportedly covers operations like drug enforcement, retail theft operations, and drone deployments, as ABC 7 reported earlier this year.
Officers reportedly worked more than 50,000 hours through the program between 2020 and 2023 despite violating those eligibility rules, which auditors found were largely unenforced.
Per ABC 7, the SFPD ordered a 22% reduction in overtime in March due to budget cuts.
