Event moved to 6 Cameron Drive this year as powwow grounds at rec centre being improvedSaugeen First Nation will hold its annual competition powwow on the weekend. Festivities are at the governance building at 6 Cameron Drive on Saturday, with grand entries at 1 and 7 p.m.. The powwow continues on Sunday with another grand entry at noon. Along with the traditional, fancy and grass dance styles, organizers have introduced a woodland category this year, powwow committee chair Letitia Thompson said. Head veterans are Melodi Serna and Warren John, head judge is Natalka Pucan, head dancers are Elias John and Alicia Kewageshig and head youth dancers are Marcel Mason and Rianah Nawash.
