Photo: Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department###Fortuna and Rio Dell volunteer firefighters are responding to a structure fire at Seventh and L streets, just a few blocks away from Fortuna Middle School. There are at least three fire trucks and several firefighters on scene, and the fire appears to be under control, according to photos and video shared with the Outpost. The Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department did not respond to our immediate request for additional information. The Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department shared the following video of the fire response, along with a statement of support for firefighters throughout the Eel River Valley. “We may be different departments but we all have one goal in mind and that is protecting the Eel River Valley.”
