Most law enforcement leaders say as much in a far nicer way with respect to the feelings of boomers. As of August 2026, there are 95 Missouri agencies -- including the Missouri State Highway Patrol -- with 287(g) agreements. All of the Missouri agencies signed up during President Trump’s second term in the White House, and all of them signed up for the Task Force Model. So far, 36 agencies across the Sunflower State have agreements, including the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. The law, House Bill 2372, also required municipal insurance pools to extend their liability coverage to local law enforcement agencies that are enforcing federal laws in cooperation with ICE.
