The Trenton Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend denial of a minor subdivision request by Walter Smith to divide two building lots at 1804 Hillcrest Drive into separate parcels. The commission found that the proposal did not meet the minimum lot size requirements for the R-2 zoning district. Six commission members voted against the request, and the matter will now go to the Trenton City Council for consideration. Smith did not attend the public hearing, and the commission members present included Donnie Vandevender, Marvin Humphreys, Jackie Soptic, Tom Stickler, Bruce Constant, and Deann Ferguson-Witt.
