Recent polling shows Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong leading the race. Former Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, current Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez and Missy Hughes are no longer running. In a recent judge ruling, submitted absentee ballots cannot be spoiled, so voters do not get a second chance to vote. A recent poll from Marquette Law School found Hong’s strongest supporters are younger voters and those who describe themselves as very liberal.
