The court ruled the federal government is likely to succeed in arguing the state cannot regulate how federal immigration officers perform their duties. In addition to offices, plans include adding an ICE detention center in a wing that once housed a post office. During the rally, the City Council unanimously passed a resolution opposing the detention center.
