JACKSONVILLE– More than 20 people attended the Jacksonville Police Department’s first firearms safety course. Officers Riggan, Shears, and Cone led the range session. The course welcomed participants with different levels of firearms experience. The range session also allowed students to apply lessons from the classroom portion of the course under officer supervision. The Jacksonville Police Department said information about its next firearms safety course will be announced later.
