A tender process was undertaken to secure a contractor for the delivery of Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant bus shelters over a five-year period. Currently, Council delivers three to four DDA compliant bus shelters per year. A total of 13 submissions were received for the tender with Strabe Group Pty Ltd selected for the supply and installation of DDA compliant bus shelters. “The development of the public transport advocacy paper highlights Council’s strong advocacy for a public transport system that is accessible, inclusive, sustainable, and affordable across Penrith. “In particular, the provision of DDA compliant bus shelters is a priority that deserves our ongoing attention and support.”
