Westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed in Cambridge following a collision late Tuesday afternoon and a motorcyclist was hospitalized.
The Ministry of Transportation first reported a full closure of the westbound lanes just before 5:45 p.m. between Hespeler Rd.
Westbound traffic quickly backed up on the 401 to the Cambridge ONroute and beyond because of the closure during the late afternoon-early evening commute.
