Patriots claim wide receiver from Cardinals, release tight end

The Patriots claimed wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer off waivers from the Cardinals, the team announced Tuesday. In a corresponding roster move, the Patriots released tight end Jeremiah Franklin. Franklin, 22, was signed by the Patriots on July 24. Brown, Efton Chism, Nick DeGennaro, Kyle Dixon, Cameron Dorner, Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kobe Prentice and Kyle Williams on the Patriots’ wide receiver depth chart. The Franklin release leaves the Patriots with Tanner Arkin, Hunter Henry, Eli Raridon, Mitch Van Vooren and Jack Westover at tight end.
