Strouss Park playground upgrades have been a struggle for the City of Mendota in acquiring and installing the correct GameTime equipment from Cunningham Recreation. (Mathias Woerner)There’s light at the end of the tunnel for the completion of the Strouss Park playground in Mendota. Project Director Annie Short provided an update Monday, following the fourth snafu in rebuilding the playground late last month. Cunningham Recreation, the organization that oversees playgrounds with GameTime equipment, repeatedly sent the wrong materials to the Strouss Park project, delaying the completion date. “It’s a little late, but at least it will get built, so we’re excited about that.”
