ByrdThe U.S. Small Business Administration announced on Aug. 3 the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans for small businesses, private nonprofits, and residents in Pennsylvania and New Jersey affected by severe storms that occurred on July 11. Both physical damage loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to eligible applicants in these areas. Businesses and private nonprofits may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged real estate, equipment, inventory, or other assets. At these centers, SBA specialists assist business owners and residents with disaster loan applications and provide information on the full range of recovery programs available.” A Disaster Loan Outreach Center will open at Dixon House in Philadelphia County starting Tuesday Aug. 4 where customer service representatives will assist applicants through Aug. 19 during posted hours.
