The two-time World Series champions have acquired left-hander Tarik Skubal from the Tigers, according to announcement from both clubs. No National League club has ever won three in a row. The club had an awful month of May, while Skubal was on the injured list recovering from arthroscopic elbow surgery. The Tigers with Skubal played better in June and July, going a combined 30-20, but it wasn’t enough. If the Dodgers also sign Skubal to a long-term deal, that would turn the dial even more.
