The Marshwood All-Star baseball team went 2-1 in pool play at the Cal Ripken 9U World Series in Florence, Alabama. The Hawks won their first two games before losing to Hilo (Hawaii) 16-2 in their final pool play game Tuesday night. Marshwood won its opener 4-3 over the Carribbean on Monday. The Hawks scored twice in the third inning and twice in the fifth. Marshwood scored twice in the first on fielder’s choice ground outs by James Galuppo and Ryder Ward.
