VineHealth Australia is inviting South Australians to nominate for the 2026 VineHealth Biosecurity Champion Award, with entries closing this Friday 7 August. The award “celebrates individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment, leadership and innovation in biosecurity” with entries open to those who work in the South Australian wine industry. This may include, but is not limited to:South Australian vineyard ownersSouth Australian winemakersSouth Australian regional associationsSouth Australian tourism and cellar door operatorsContributors to the South Australian wine industry (e.g. consultants, researchers, viticulturists)Anyone who knows of or is a biosecurity champion, such as a vineyard owner who goes “above and beyond” to protect the industry from biosecurity threats, is encouraged to nominate using the form here. The winner will be announced at the South Australian Wine Industry Dinner on Thursday 17 September 2026.
