The worker said to Wild, who had blood on his head: "I've seen what you've just done." A police officer attended Oldham bus station, which was nearby, where he spotted Wild and detained him. While lying on the floor, Wild tried to bite the officer's leg before he was then put in a police van. On the way to the police station, Wild was abusive and threatening towards officers, shouting expletive insults and threatening to assault a male officer.
