(LONGVIEW, Texas) – CHRISTUS Health officially celebrated the opening of the new CHRISTUS Health Emergency Center West Loop on Tuesday with a blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a nearly $7 million investment in expanding access to emergency medical services for Longview and the surrounding East Texas region.
The facility, which opens to patients on August 5, transforms a former urgent care location into a full-service emergency center while remaining connected to the site’s existing walk-in primary care clinic, allowing patients to receive the appropriate level of care in one convenient location.
“Today’s opening reflects our continued commitment to meeting the growing health care needs of East Texas and this new center strengthens our ability to deliver immediate, lifesaving care while integrating seamlessly with the broader CHRISTUS network,” said Todd Hancock, president and CEO of CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health System.
“When patients need a higher level of care, they are connected to the full resources of our hospital system, ensuring continuity and excellence in every step of their care.”
