A landmark Boston dining establishment is celebrating a big anniversary. The Union Oyster House in Boston turns 200 years old this year, solidifying its status as the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the United States since its founding in 1826. According to a Fallstaff report, the Union Oyster House has been owned and operated by only four families over its 200-year history. The menu showcases New England seafood classics — oysters, lobster, lobster rolls, clam chowder, stuffed clams, fried fish, and Boston baked beans. As noted earlier, the Union Oyster House is famous for hosting notable guests.
