Troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, have arrested four suspected logistics suppliers and collaborators of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in separate operations in Borno and Yobe states. According to the statement, troops of the 159 Battalion under Sector 2 conducted a cordon-and-search operation in Geidam town, Yobe State, on August 3, following intelligence reports. In another operation conducted at about 3.30 pm on the same day, troops of Sector 3 Garrison and the 242 Reconnaissance Battalion arrested two suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers in Monguno, Borno State. The individuals were subsequently handed over to the 21 Military Intelligence Regiment for further profiling and necessary action. He added that the military would sustain pressure on Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters across the region.
