Letter: Trump claims he’s done more for auto workers than their parents
[]
State-Journal
Dear editor,President Donald Trump has been working hard to position himself as the god-like creator of a new “Golden Age” right here in America.
Now laying claim to be the replacement daddy of the working class, he told auto workers in Michigan, “I’ve done more for you than your parents.”
Is it just me, or does it seem a bit delusional to claim to have done more for young workers than parents laboring for 18 years to provide housing, food, clothing, education, and emotional support to children?
Our #47 is eerily reprising the Soviet communist tactic of asking citizens to accept the government as the true parent of the nation’s children.
Also, there would be “no auto industry” if he hadn’t been elected in 2024, a claim quite like his earlier claim, “there might not be a Middle East” without his efforts there.
