Mr Frederick Jude Mwinwule, the Headmaster of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic School at Awoshie-Anyaa, has called for stricter enforcement of measures to eliminate examination malpractice during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Mr Mwinwule said examination malpractice undermined academic integrity, deprived students of genuine learning opportunities and weakened public confidence in educational qualifications. He said examination malpractice affected not only the academic development of students but also their self-confidence, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. “Examination malpractice destroys true learning, erodes the credibility of academic certificates and produces graduates who lack the knowledge and skills needed for national development,” he said. Mr Mwinwule urged parents, teachers, school authorities and government agencies to work together to promote honesty, discipline and hard work among students.
