Def Leppard borrowed Queen's songwriting process for their upcoming studio album, due to be released somewhere in early 2027. Guitarist Phil Collen revealed that each band member now adds ideas to everyone else's tracks instead of working solo. Bassist Rick Savage played a Martin 12-string acoustic for 12 hours straight until his fingers bled during their previous album. "It's like the most diverse album we've ever done because you've got such extremes on there," Collen said. Members tracked portions of the album in a basement studio beneath the casino during February shows.
