By 9 a.m., Hasbrouck Heights firefighters had knocked down the main body of fire. Route 17 South at Franklin Avenue stayed shut while teams mopped up hot spots. The pancake house sits on a heavily-traveled section of Route 17, a main artery through Bergen County.
