Corey Kelly, associate vice president and dean of students, was named Boston College’s next vice president for student affairs, effective Aug. 1. Kelly succeeds Shawna Cooper Whitehead, who departed in May to serve as president of Regis University in Denver, Colo. Unlike Cooper Whitehead, who was tapped for the role in 2021 after serving as vice president of student services at Seton Hall University, Kelly has spent her entire 13-year career under BC’s Division of Student Affairs.
