The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has said it is partnering with private sector organisations to equip women in the Niger Delta with entrepreneurial skills to help them build sustainable livelihoods and create wealth.
The commission disclosed this during an empowerment programme organised to commemorate the 2026 International Women’s Day in Asaba, Delta State.
Represented by his Special Assistant, Dr. Godwin Edozie, Ebie said the training was designed to help participants improve product quality and packaging, access new markets and compete effectively in the global marketplace.
“When you empower women, you empower the family, the community and society,” she said.
Imoni also advised participants to leverage the opportunities offered by the Niger Delta Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture (NDCCTIMA) to access low-interest loans to expand their businesses.
