Ajibola Basiru, says the August 15 Osun governorship election is critical to the future of the state, urging party members to brace up. Basiru stated this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Osogbo. According to the statement, the APC scribe spoke during a high-level strategic meeting held at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja ahead of the election. Basiru also charged party faithful and supporters to remain focused, law-abiding and committed to democratic values, while encouraging eligible voters to participate peacefully in the poll. According to the statement, the meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by stakeholders to deliver victory for the APC and its governorship candidate.
