Mount Hood Meadows is under a Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation due to the Grasshopper Fire. The popular ski resort and summer recreation destination, located at 14040 Highway 35, announced its evacuation Tuesday morning, Aug. 4. Most of the Mount Hood area is under Level 1 (Be Ready) evacuation. That includes everything from Rhododendron to Government Camp, and all the surrounding areas of the Mount Hood National Forest. The area extends north to the Hood River County line and east to the Wasco County line.
