Published August 4, 2026May 20, 1940 to July 27, 2026 – Evelyn Frances (Long) Van Ginhoven of Lake Oswego, Oregon, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026. Evelyn graduated from Washington High School in Princess Anne, Maryland, and Salisbury Teachers College in Salisbury, Maryland. She dedicated her time to raising her daughters as well as continuing her passion for education as a library assistant at Forest Hills Elementary School in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Evelyn leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, George W. Van Ginhoven; her daughters, Renee and Nancy; her sister, Aileen Noble; her siblings’ spouses; many nieces and nephews; and friends. Known for her sharp intellect and a wonderful sense of humor, Evelyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
