L Street Self Storage in Chula Vista, California, has converted two of its storage units into a “pantry” where local teachers can get free supplies for use in their classrooms. The venture launched last Thursday with a “Stock the Pantry” drive that continues through the end of the month. L Street is asking the community for donations including essentials like pencils and folders, creativity supplies like crayons and markers, hygiene items like sanitizers, and instructional materials. Founded in 1999, L Street Self Storage offers climate-controlled and drive-up units as well as mailbox rentals, pallet receiving, passport photos, printing and shipping services.
