Self-storage consulting and management firm Lighthouse Storage Solutions has agreed to acquire the third-party management portfolio operated by fellow management firm Haviland Storage Services (HSS) in California. Kylie Smith, who handles human resources and marketing for HSS, will continue on at Lighthouse, the release stated. Before launching HSS, she held senior-leadership roles including vice president of operations for real estate investment trust Extra Space Storage and Price Self Storage. In addition to facility management, HSS provides audits, manager training and competitor studies. Lighthouse offers self-storage consulting and training, facility audits, and educational support across all stages of facility ownership.
