Top 60 accounting firm Mauldin & Jenkins has expanded its practice within the Greater Columbia, SC, area through a merger with Schmoyer and Co., effective Aug. 1. This is Atlanta-based Mauldin & Jenkins’ second M&A deal in 2026. These strengths complement Mauldin & Jenkins’ existing operations in the region, particularly for closely held businesses and healthcare entities, officials say. Schmoyer and Co. President and Managing Partner Terry Schmoyer and partners Kathy Wine and Chris Controne have joined Mauldin & Jenkins as partners. “Joining Mauldin & Jenkins was a natural next step for our firm,” Terry Schmoyer said in a statement.
