–– The Natrona County Public Library is reducing some services and operating hours as the county grapples with a decline in property tax revenue.
“We appreciate the community’s understanding as we work to continue providing high-quality library services and programs,” the announcement said.
“We remain committed to providing high-quality library resources, programs, and services to the Natrona County community.”
Other county services also faced cuts, including the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office and the Casper-Natrona County Health Department, and a $1.1 million request for a new facility to house voting machines and elections storage was nixed.
