COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Mountain West and Pac-12 have agreed to drop a 2024 lawsuit that challenged the legality of a multimillion-dollar “poaching penalty” enforced in the two conferences’ 2024 scheduling contract.
in 2024, the Mountain West Conference agreed to schedule games between its schools and the Pac-12’s two remaining programs.
After the season, the Pac-12 did just that, taking Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Utah State universities.
“The Mountain West Conference, the Pac-12 Conference, Boise State University, Colorado State University, Utah State University and The Board of Trustees of the California State University for the benefit of San Diego State University and California State University, Fresno have reached final agreements to settle all pending litigation among the parties,” The Mountain West said Tuesday.
The University of Wyoming will reignite its historic rivalry with Colorado State University, now of the Pac-12, on Sept. 5.
