Of that spending, $15.8 billion came from SpaceX's AI unit.
The AI business delivered the fastest growth for SpaceX, with revenue soaring 247% to $2.6 billion.
The company said new cloud service agreements added $1.6 billion in AI infrastructure revenue during the quarter, while compute capacity expanded to 1.4 gigawatts.
Yet it was the division offering thousands of satellites in low-Earth-orbit that remained SpaceX's cash cow.
As part of its historic IPO, the company sought to broaden its investment appeal by positioning itself as a rapidly expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure company alongside its space and connectivity businesses.
