Former Dartmouth Pitcher Mac Burke Transfers To Penn State Baseball
['Michael Zeno']
Onward State
Mike Gambino’s transfer class has been almost completely comprised of bats, but a late acquisition put pen to paper on Tuesday afternoon, as former Dartmouth pitcher Mac Burke has transferred to Penn State.
Burke spent four years at Dartmouth, but really broke out in his senior season, pitching to a 2.19 ERA and minuscule 0.95 WHIP across 37 innings with 34 strikeouts to just 10 walks.
That senior season earned the 6’4″ right-hander First-Team All-Ivy League consideration for his work out of a mediocre Dartmouth bullpen.
Burke did not use a redshirt, but missed almost all of the 2025 season with injury and could apply for a medical redshirt.
If that redshirt were granted, he would not be affected if the ruling were overturned.
