A series of earthquakes made for a busy morning of seismic activity with three quakes striking offshore near the Mexico–Guatemala border, and another rattling Central California. The earthquakes ranged in magnitude from 3.7 to 4.6, adding to ongoing seismic activity along the Pacific Ring of Fire. The initial earthquake was followed by a stronger magnitude 4.6 earthquake in the same area at 1:07 a.m. on Tuesday.
