Republican Representative Chuck Edwards is facing a tough reelection battle in a light-red North Carolina House district after the House Ethics Committee recommended he be censured over his conduct toward two young, female staffers. In a 15-page response published alongside the report, Edwards’ counsel wrote that the committee’s findings “exonerate Representative Edwards under House Rules governing sexual misconduct or harassment.”
