Photo - Kentucky 2A ChampionshipsHopkins County will be well represented at this year’s Kentucky 2A boys golf championships in Owensboro. The Kentucky 2A Section 1 tournament was played Tuesday at Breckinridge Golf Course in Union County. The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons, who have been among the top three teams overall in Western Kentucky over the first couple of weeks of the season, took the team championship in their first season eligible in the Kentucky 2A. Ashton Blades and Ace Wilson both qualify at at-large entrants to the Kentucky 2A state championship. The Kentucky 2A golf state championship is set for September 14 at the Owensboro Country Club.
