The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites kids ages 5-15 to experience frog gigging at Blind Pony Hatchery Conservation Area from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, August 7. Participants will be given the opportunity to taste cooked frog legs and experience frog gigging firsthand at the hatchery ponds. The 2026 frogging season began on June 30 and runs through October 31. Frogging equipment will be provided, but participants are asked to bring a flashlight. Blind Pony Fish Hatchery is located at 16285 Blind Pony Hatchery Drive.
