NEWBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have released the name of a man shot and injured in Newbury, and now they’re asking the public for help finding a vehicle of interest in the case. Vermont troopers say Jonathan Garneau, 43, of Barre City, was shot in the leg on Jefferson Hill Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday. Garneau was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock, where police say he is in stable condition, being treated for the gunshot wound. Police say their investigation is still active, and they’re looking for a pickup truck in connection with the case. They say the bright yellow truck has a ladder rack and rust/rot damage along the lower driver’s side.
