Hey all, Put a new torque stud and bushings on my 83 CJ7. Notices that it's loose. From what I read on the web, that would be normal. Just can't understand why. It's a 1/2" gap on a 1/8" steel bracket which allows lots of movement. First, why would the engineers want to allow that twist on acceleration or deceleration, limited though it may be?
