MEMBERS of Run Alcester swapped running shoes for teacups as they hosted a community Afternoon Tea in aid of Alcester Day Care, raising an impressive £434.45 for the charity. Instead of a traditional coffee morning, Run Alcester organised an afternoon tea to fit around the club’s regular Sunday morning runs. Run Alcester Chair Helen Bowen said: “Our club is something so unbelievably special. The event also highlighted the important work carried out by Alcester Day Care in supporting people living with dementia and their families. Dementia is a cause that is particularly close to the hearts of many Run Alcester members, who have experienced its impact through loved ones.
