According to The Athletic's Spencer Nusbaum, the Washington Nationals are reportedly promoting former Alabama Crimson Tide outfielder Andrew Pinckney to make his MLB debut. Pinckney's promotion is the corresponding move of the Nationals placing outfielder James Wood on the 10-day IL. Selected in the fourth round by Washington back in 2023, Pinckney started 144-of-167 games played at Alabama from 2021-23. The outfielder slashed a combined .308/.395/.532 during his time in Tuscaloosa, hitting 26 home runs with 101 RBI and 17 stolen bases.
