Pulaski, PA - Irene Tkach Mattie, 96, passed away peacefully Saturday Aug. 1, 2026, at her home following a long illness. Irene was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish at St. James the Apostle in Pulaski, Pennsylvania. Irene will be deeply missed and always remembered by her children, Carol Beatrice (Joseph) of Charlottesville, Virginia, and John G. Mattie Jr. of Pulaski, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, John (Lacey Hammond) Mattie III, Mark R. Mattie, Christina Delaney (Ian) and Amber Morris; great-grandchildren, Madison Morris, Caden Delany and Paige Delany; along with several nieces and nephews. The Mattie family has entrusted Irene's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Irene will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery at Villa Maria, Pennsylvania, at a later date.
