New Castle, PA - David A. McCallister, 86, of New Castle, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Aug. 3, 2026. Born July 3, 1940, in New Castle, David lived a life characterized by faith, hard work, humor and a deep love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Louanna, to whom he was married for 59 years; his children, Todd (Lisa) McCallister, Christopher (Dawn) McCallister and Courtney (Doug) Anderson; his grandchildren, Brandon McCallister, Kaityln (Cameron) Marett, Dakota Anderson, Sienna Anderson, Cody (Hannah) Hamerand Connor (Kristin) Hamer; and great-grandchild, Hayes Hamer. A devoted servant of his community, David faithfully served on the Lawrence County Fair Board for 30 years and continued volunteering and supporting the fair for another three years after retiring from the board. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Lawrence County Fair, 464 Midway Road, New Castle, PA, 16101.
