Russia’s swimmers won gold on Tuesday in Artistic Swimming Team Technical event at the 2026 European Aquatics Championships in France. The Spanish team won the silver with 296.4299 points and Italy packed the bronze, 284.6725 points. The Russian team consisted of Yekaterina Kossova, Yelizaveta Smirnova, Svetlana Pavlova, Olga Tyutyunik, Kira Cherezova, Valentina Gersimova, Yelena Shabanova and Alexandra Shmidt. This is Russia’s second gold medal at the European Championships in addition to previously won four silver and three bronze medals. Russia is competing at the European Championships in Paris for the first time since 2021.
