When a legacy sequel brings back a fan-favourite character, that's dead fair. But when a legacy sequel to The Mummy brings back a black horse riding Medjai chieftain, well, that's Oded Fehr. Yes folks, as Radio Silence duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's upcoming Mummy fourquel continues to take shape, the swashbuckling blockbuster has today confirmed three new — and indeed returning — cast members, including the aforementioned Oded Fehr as dashing, Imhotep-halting warrior Ardeth Bay. Per Deadline's reporting, Fehr will return in The Mummy's fourth outing alongside fellow franchise veteran Kevin J. O'Connor, whose former French Legion man turned Imhotep servant Beni Gabor was last seen preparing to get gobbled up by a horde of flesh-eating scarab beetles at the end of 1999's OG Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz led The Mummy. They will both be joined by series newcomer Numan Acar (Young Sherlock), as well as previously confirmed returnees Fraser and Weisz, John Hannah, and — potentially at least — Obsession star Michael Johnston, who's in talks for the latest genre joint from the guys who gave us Ready Or Not, Abigail, and Scream.
